The Chinese company Oukitel, specializing in low-cost smartphones, cannot leave the second level of manufacturers of mobile assistants. If the design of the devices, their manufacturing quality and their price tags are difficult to criticize, but the optimization of the software and the balance of the technical characteristics of the company’s products often cause mixed emotions. The hero of today’s review is a clear example of the problems mentioned above.

The appearance of the new items is extremely good. An interesting and rather original design of four cameras and a fingerprint sensor, a frameless screen with a “island” of front camera looks great in the price segment. The 6.55-inch OGS screen would also be praised, if not the low resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels, which negatively affects the clarity of the bright and contrasted image. On the other hand, the performance and the autonomy of use of such an IPS panel increase.

As a result, even the frankly old Mediatek Helio P25 processor with 4 GB of RAM and the Mali T880 MP2 video adapter copes with many demanding games, although graphics with low-medium presets are not the most attractive. The user will be able to store applications, as well as music and videos on 64 GB of ROM, not yet deprived of a microSD card slot.

Unusual situation with cameras. The 16 (main), 8 (wide angle) and 2 megapixel (macro and bokeh sensor) modules seem to offer extensive photographic capabilities, but in terms of quality, they do not allow you to create truly impressive images in poor lighting or high event dynamics. Unless the macromodule seems decent even in the context of more expensive opponents. At the same time, Frontalka will not bother selfie lovers. The battery capacity reaches 4000mAh, which, thanks to the energy efficiency of Android Q, guarantees about eight hours of active screen time. Among the negative aspects, we note the absence of a separate headphone jack and NFC (contactless payments), the incomplete translation of the software and its minor bugs. Thus, the device considered evokes rather positive feelings given its cost category, even if the buyer has to deal with a certain number of unpleasant drawbacks.
