AliExpress Standard Shipping Shipments Status:

Waiting for Carrier to Pick Up
This means your parcels Has Not Been Sent Yet. And we cannot be sure if the shipping company has got the message of picking up when usually it has.

Leaving Origin
Please note that there might have some other countries between the origin country and the receiving/destination country.

Arrive at Destination
It means your parcel has just arrived in the destination country instead of the delivery address and usually hasn’t cleared import custom procedures yet.

Pick Up & Waiting for Pick Up
Please pay attention to the difference between “Waiting for Pick Up” and “Waiting for Carrier to Pick Up”. “Pick Up” or “Waiting for (you) Pick Up” indicates your parcel arrived at local facility or post office, i.e. out for delivery. You may wait for the delivery man, or go to the ParcelShop, local depot, pick-up station, self-collection point, PUDO, whatever it’s called, to fetch your package, generally the sooner the better.

Delivered
In some cases, the parcels were delivered to the neighbor or unfortunately, stolen. Anyway, we need to find out the truth of any one of these situations.

Undelivered
If there is an update like “A missed delivery”, “Failed delivery attempt”, “Unsuccessful delivery attempt”, please check whether the recipient’s mailing address is correct and within delivery service coverage immediately. Then contact the local courier for clarification and to arrange a re-delivery or self-collection.

Waiting for pick up (forever) then cancels: fishing for easy money from gullible people?
Everything goes smooth. Seller ships fast. You get some tracking number. Looking good. Then your order is stuck on “Waiting for pick up” in Aliexpress tracking. However, nothing shows up on 17track or other tracking sites.

Second time happening to me. First time I waited patiently for couple weeks. The shipment cancelled. Asked the seller and he was like “oh, it was out of stock, I’ll give refund ok”. Nothing happens for a day, so I made a dispute and got the money back, though I lost couple cents because of the currency change back and forth.

Opened dispute and got refund immediately from AliExpress, but lost 20 days waiting.

My theory is that most of these sellers don’t actually stock any of the product they sell. As soon as you order, they allocate a tracking number so it looks like they shipped, but they’ll collect orders for a few days before heading downtown to pick everything up at the market. (I mostly buy electronic stuff, so I imagine them heading to SEG with their shopping list.) Once they pick it up, they can package and actually ship. If they can’t find it or the price went up, they can keep trying for a while, or eventually cancel the order. Yes, there are a few scammers on AE, but most of the sellers are (reasonably) honest people trying to make a buck. Keep prodding them with messages. They will usually lie to you about what is happening to string you along. Be nice but firm. “I really hope I don’t have to dispute this order.” Also remember, some sellers have better English than others. File the dispute as a last resort. Most sellers will try to avoid the dispute process if you have been reasonable
