AUDI R8 V10 PLUS | AUTOBAHN POV 333KM/H | ACCELERATION & TOP SPEED by AutoTopNL
In the basic configuration, the Audi R8 is equipped with an atmospheric 4.2-liter V8 engine using FSI technology, which generates a maximum power of 420 horsepower. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h is 4.6 seconds. The maximum speed is electronically limited to 301 km/h for safety reasons[1][3].

On July 1, the automotive magazine Autocar announced that Audi has replenished the range of engines R8 428-horsepower (14 hp more than the coupe version with a similar power unit) V8 volume of 4.2 liters, accelerating the car from 0 to 100 km / h in 4.8 seconds, developing a maximum speed of 299 km/h[4].
V10
Modification of the Audi R8 with a 5.2-liter naturally aspirated V10 engine with a capacity of 525 horsepower. Regardless of the motor, the power is transmitted via a six-speed manual or automatic transmission Audi R Tronic by means of a transmission mechanism (the same is installed in the Lamborghini Gallardo [5]). In addition, the R8 is equipped with an all-wheel drive system and a lightweight aluminum alloy body. The design of the car was developed by the Italian automotive designer Walter de Silva and his design team[6].
The interior is decorated with decorative inserts made of carbon fiber and aluminum. The car is also equipped with a Bang & Olufsen audio system with 12 speakers. On the Audi R8, 18-inch wheels with 235/40 tires on the front axle and 285/35 on the rear are installed as standard.

V10 Spyder
The Audi R8—based roadster, the Audi R8 Spyder, was first seen on the set of the movie “Iron Man”. After spy photos from the filming appeared on the Internet in 2008, rumors began to spread that Audi was preparing an open version of the R8 for the premiere. And so it turned out — in 2009, at the Frankfurt Motor Show, the car was presented to the general public. On the roadster, the panel on the side of the car, which has already become the “business card” of the R8, was removed, which differs in color from the rest of the car body. Initially, only a 5.2-liter V10 FSI engine was installed on the car[7].

GT
In May 2010, the Audi R8 GT was introduced – a special version of the supercar, which was produced in an amount of 333 copies. From the usual Audi R8 V10, the special version differs in the following parameters:[10]
The R8 GT is 100 kg lighter than the regular R8 (the mass of the R8 GT is 1,525 kg).
The power of the special version has been increased to 552 hp. This gives the car a power/weight ratio of 362 hp per ton.
The top speed of the R8 GT is 26 km/h higher than that of the regular version (325 km/h versus 299 km/h).
The Audi R8 GT accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds— which is 0.4 seconds faster than the R8 V10.
Externally, the R8 GT stands out with a fixed rear wing, red pads on the brake calipers, modified bumpers with diffusers and nameplates “GT” instead of “V10”.

Weight:1640 kg. Power: 560 hp Acceleration 0 — 100 km/h: 3.8 sec. Speed: 320 km/h[11].
There is also an all-electric version of the R8 called e-tron. The model has the status of a prototype, but nevertheless 12 copies have been collected. The drive is only rear — two electric motors on the rear axle are allowed to develop 380 hp and 820 Nm of torque, which allows the electric car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 4.2 seconds. The maximum speed is limited to 200 km/h by electronics. This was done in order to save electricity, the waste of which is excessively high at higher speeds (see energy). The center of gravity of the electric R8 is shifted downwards and this allows you to take sharp turns much more confidently than gasoline counterparts. This is also greatly facilitated by the automatic electronic torque control system Torque Vectoring, which distributes the force to each wheel separately[12].
The total weight of the Audi R8 e-tron is 1770 kilograms. The large mass is caused by the high weight of batteries — over 500 kg. And this is despite the complete redesign of the body.
Despite the external similarity, the e-tron body is almost entirely made of carbon fiber. The aluminum power structure was designed from scratch. Even the springs are made of carbon fiber reinforced fiberglass. The use of such expensive materials and technologies caused an increase in the cost of each car to over 1 million euro
