Review: 2x Elva Hair Brazilian lace front wigs from AliExpress to South Africa

I review one Body wave & one Deep wave/Water wave unit from Elva Hair. This is an unboxing video taking you through what you can expect from the vendor, including the free gifts they included in the package. I give general tips on shipping from China to South Africa as well. I will do a follow up review once I’ve worn each of the units for a couple of weeks to see how they hold up.

MINI UPDATE:
After about a month and a half of wear, the Body Wave unit has been good. It has great movement, shine (I don’t add any oils, sheens etc only conditioner+water) and volume. Initially that relaxer smell didn’t want to go away. It took about three shampoos to get rid of it. Now I only co-wash the unit, perhaps once a week. I drench it in conditioner and leave it for a few hours, then rinse and air dry it in a braid or bun. I’ve never used heat on it & don’t plan to.

CONS: I feel like the cap has stretched out a little bit, but the adjustable straps keep it secure. *after two months when I compared to the unworn curly one I could tell the cap had stretched A LOT* It also sheds when I brush it. It isn’t crazy – like I can run my fingers through it without shedding but actual brushing takes out strands.

Curly unit: Tangly & lots of fly-ways after 3 DAYS of wear, OMG but adding diluted conditioner and finger combing, brings the curls back together. I’m not ready to brush it & deal with the shedding. Much less relaxer smell out of the packet, than the body wave.

I plan to do a bleach bath on both units & see if they bounce back. Would I purchase again? At those prices? YES. I’m ordering some ombre units soon.
